Clarendon is opening its scholarship program applications for students that apply for The University of Oxford graduate courses including the Master or Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) course program for the academic year 2023.

Who is eligible to apply for this scholarship?

Applicants of The University of Oxford Master or Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) course programs for the academic year 2023 from any country and nationalities.

What is the criteria of selection?

1. Excellent and outstanding academic achievement that is shown by the score transcript, prizes, awards, and publications.
2. Potential career and contribution that is relevant to the field study chosen.
3. Suitable talent in the field of study chosen by the applicants.
4. Students have a high study motivation that is shown by personal letter and commitment to the field of study chosen by the applicant.

What degrees are offered in this scholarship?

This scholarship is offered for the graduate programs which is the Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) and Master course programs including the full-time and part-time programs that are provided by the University of Oxford in the academic year 2023.

How long is the duration of scholarship?

The duration of the scholarship will differ depending on the length of time the course program period chosen by the scholarship awardee.

How to apply?

1. Apply for the Master or Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) program that is offered by the University of Oxford before the closing date of each application.
2. If the applicants fit in the selection criteria, applicants will automatically be considered for the scholarship.

How does the process of selection go?

1. The students that have completed all of the applications processes before the closing date for each study program will be shortlisted by the academics team of the course program
2. Applicants might be contacted by the University of Oxford admission team to attend an online and in-person interview, the condition of the interview differ depending on the course program chosen by the applicants
3. The applicants that fit in the selection criteria for the study program chosen by the applicant will be nominated by the course program admissions committee to receive the Clarendon scholarship around February or March
4. The applicants that passed the final selection will be contacted via email by the Clarendon selection committee around the end of April
5. The chosen applicant will be given a scholarship offer
6. If the chosen applicant withdraws from the scholarship program another applicant might be nominated around the summer of 2023.

How many applicants will be chosen to receive the scholarship?

Every year, Clarendon award the scholarship for around 150 up to 160 selected applicants.

When is the deadline for application?

The closing date for this scholarship applications depends on the course program closing date between the month of December 2022 and January 2023.

Additional information

Applicants that passed the final selection will join the Clarendon Scholars’ Association events including lectures and academic seminars to cultural places such as theatres and historical places in the United Kingdom (UK).
